Paradoxes are logical statements that seems to contradict itself. A paradox can be a situation that seems impossible or is difficult to understand because it contains two opposite facts or characteristics.

There are different types of paradoxes, “everyday” paradoxes and “logical” paradoxes.

Examples of everyday paradoxes are:

  1. To shut down your computer, first click start
  2. Less is more
  3. you have to be cruel to be kind

Examples of logical paradoxes are:

  1. No keyboard detected, press F1 to continue
  2. Your mission is to not accept this mission. Do you accept?
  3. If you didn’t get this message, call me.

Paradoxes can also mean unexpected or ironic. They can be confusing like this one: “This statement is false” a type of the liar paradox, if the statement is true, then the statement is false, then that makes the statement true!? Paradoxes can be funny like this one: If Pinocchio says “my nose will grow now” and it doesn't, his lying. But it grows when he lies, so he would be telling the truth. But his nose still grew while he told the truth.

Paradoxes can be anywhere and you could even make one up! Some people think that if they happen the universe could explode! Search up “paradoxes” and find awesome mind blowing ones!
